Now as you may see from the individual oils it does contain tea tree which is a no no however, in this dilute form it is safe for your pets and that is direct from the vet I trained with mouth!
One of my dogs has a chronic respiratory condition from his passive smoking of cannabis before he was rescued and is beautifully managed with this wonderful blend. Rowan doesn’t like tenting which would be ideal for him but I diffuse a drop at night with my night-time blends and also pop it on for a bit in the morning or the diffuser in my van. Rowan will choose to lie near the diffuser and I know it is helping.
For older dogs it can be so helpful especially as the airways can get a little congested so a drop on bedding can be just what the doctor ordered. In fact when my beautiful dog Maz was recovering from bloat he was so congested after his intubation and so my vets had a bottle there to apply to his bedding to aid his recovery and it worked a treat and I diffused it once he was home.
Emotional Well-being:
The same way it can support humans with emotions it can support dogs too so it always a good one to have in your tool box whatever the situation.
Tips for Using dōTERRA Air™
- Aromatic Diffusion: Add three to four drops to your essential oil diffuser to fill your home or workspace with its refreshing aroma. I always like to offer oils to my dogs (remember lid on) when I have not used them before to check that they don’t hate them I don’t necessarily need an acceptance as Rowan the dog above will never accept anything I offer but then he will choose a bed under the diffuser!
- Topical Application: Apply it appropriately diluted for your pet to their chest area
