One of my must have blends for my pets is doTERRA's On Guard Protective Blend, it is a unique combination of essential oils that are recognised for their supportive effects on the immune system and overall well-being. This blend is a mix of Wild Orange, Clove, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary essential oils each renowned for their antioxidant rich and immune supporting benefits.
On Guard has a whole host of benefits for the pet family - humans included and I use it in multiple ways for me, my pets and my home. It is probably the mainstay of what I use to clean my home, floors and surfaces, in a home full of pets using products that are safe around the home is crucial and with frequent floor mopping and dogs and cats that always ensure I am never short of cleaning this blend and its products are reassuringly safe to use.
With fabulous immune supporting properties at any sign of anyone being under the weather this is an essential element to add to their food or diffuse.
If anyone gets an ouchie then used in the foaming handwash to clean is a quick and easy thing to do and with 3 springers this can be on a daily basis! With 2 disabled dogs needing daily bottom washes and also all my dogs getting paw washes it is also gentle enough to be used in baths and soaps. I use the On Guard Cleaner Concentrate in the bath and add 40 drops of the blend to a
Melt & Pour Soap base that keeps my dogs clean and smells so great I use bars of that for myself too! Or you can make your own foaming wash.
With a love of canicross and frequent attendance at events I diffuse it aromatically in my campervan to support the immune system of my dogs as we socialise with a vast array of humans and their pooches too. Having a paw wash spray is super convenient too! Which can double as an ouchie spray as well!
When my cat Holly was ill with a respiratory infection, this blend diffused was extremely beneficial in supporting her recovery.
Our pets have a much more advanced olfactory system than ours and it is important to not overwhelm them with scent or the vast array of toxic chemicals contained within many cleaning products and even so called pet safe ones - On Guard is a great alternative.
And if you have decking or a patio or artificial lawn to clean then the On Guard Cleaner Concentrate (or Laundry detergent for the lawn) is great and unlike popular garden cleaners you do not need to wait for it to be dry before your pets can walk on it!
