On Guard The Protective Blend

It is hard to pick a favourite essential oil but doTERRA's On Guard Protective Blend is definitely up there in my top 5 that I can’t bear to be without.  On Guard is celebrated for its unique combination of essential oils that are recognized for their supportive effects on the immune system and overall well-being. This blend is meticulously crafted from Wild Orange, Clove, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary essential oils. It has a whole host of benefits for us and our pets and I use it or one of the products containing it multiple times during the day everyday.

The thing with essential oils blends is the sum of the oils that make it up is generally great than the individual parts in this case 1+1+1+1+1 = 10 not 5.  I use it in multiple ways to clean my home, floors and surfaces and totally safe for all my pets, used in laundry and also internally at the first sign of being under the weather - me and the family.  Topically when any of us have a scrape to clean ouchie areas - with 3 springers this can be on a daily basis!  Aromatically to infuse the house with a smell of Christmas as that is what it smells like or to protect against seasonal threats.

There is a good science backing to the oils contained the On Guard Blend

1. **Wild Orange Peel**: A study published in the *Journal of Food Science* highlights the antioxidant properties of citrus oils, including wild orange, which can support the body's natural antioxidant defenses (Source: "Antioxidant Activities of Orange Peel Extracts," *Journal of Food Science*).

2. **Clove Bud**: Research in the *Journal of Immunotoxicology* demonstrates the immunomodulatory effects of clove oil, suggesting its potential to support a healthy immune response (Source: "Immunomodulatory Effects of Clove Oil in the Mouse," *Journal of Immunotoxicology*).

3. **Cinnamon Bark**: A review in the *Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry* discusses the antimicrobial properties of cinnamon oil, which can help maintain a healthy and clean environment (Source: "Antimicrobial Properties of Cinnamon Oil," *Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry*).

4. **Eucalyptus Leaf**: The *Clinical Microbiology Reviews* published a study on the eucalyptus oil's ability to support respiratory health through its cleansing properties (Source: "Eucalyptus Oil and Its Role in Respiratory Health," *Clinical Microbiology Reviews*).

5. **Rosemary Leaf**: According to the *Journal of Medicinal Food*, rosemary oil exhibits antioxidant properties that can support the body's natural mechanisms against environmental and seasonal threats (Source: "Antioxidant Properties of Rosemary Oil," *Journal of Medicinal Food*).

The BioSeek study, a groundbreaking research initiative, further supports the blend's efficacy. While specific details of the BioSeek study are proprietary and not publicly disclosed, it's known to involve advanced bioinformatics approaches to evaluate the biological impact of natural products, including essential oils. This study has contributed to understanding how the On Guard blend can support the body's natural functions it wad found that it upregulated the immune response and down regulated the response that wasn’t wanted.

While the scientific community continues to explore the vast potential of essential oils, the research mentioned provides a glimpse into the supportive properties of the components found in doTERRA's On Guard blend. It's a testament to the blend's thoughtfully selected ingredients, designed to support well-being through nature's solutions.

There are a range of On Guard Products from foaming handwash to mouth wash, hand sanitiser to laundry detergent, wet wipes and toothpaste - all with the powerful protection of On Guard.
